The MAI team is delighted to present the 26.27 season, a season that invites us to collectively reflect on what liberation means. One that takes shape through art, words and movement, but also through the possibility of fully being ourselves.
Each project is rooted in a community of its own. Here, stories, histories and imaginaries find a space to be honoured. From one work to the next, we are invited into intimate and singular worlds, shaped by those who inhabit them. Their stories will touch us, move us, and perhaps even transform the ways we come together and the ways we understand freedom. And it is with you, dear audience, that these encounters come to life. It is with you that liberation can take shape.
This season, the MAI invites you to make room for gentle moments that carry the great winds of freedom.
