The MAI stimulates the collaboration of various partners and welcomes artists within the framework of local, national and international projects. Above all, MAI supports artists who have an intercultural approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The main tasks of the Technical Director Assistant is to assist the Technical Director in all his daily tasks, such as :<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintenance of lighting, sound and other equipment;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in the assembly and disassembly (sound, lighting and video projection);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During shows, the assistant must see to the proper functioning of the material and equipment;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Occasionally act as stage manager;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure the smooth running of the show in collaboration with the artists;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in the production of the show; deal with the resources available to meet the technical demands of artists;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform any other related task.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Candidate profile:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requirement: Training or experience in stage technique;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work in a team, react quickly and work under pressure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Autonomy, initiative and a dynamic attitude.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Conditions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Location: 3680 rue Jeanne-Mance, Montreal (Quebec);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Position: permanent, full time (35 hours per week);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schedule: variable depending on the activity: days, evenings and weekends;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salary: to be discussed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting date: <\/span><b>Monday, January 5th, 2022<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To apply, please send your curriculum vitae and a cover letter to the attention of Philip Richard-Autier, Technical Director, before Friday, November 19, 2021 to the following address: <\/span><a href=\"mailto:tech@m-a-i.qc.ca\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tech@m-a-i.qc.ca<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MAI is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible work environment to all employees and applicants.
