MTL ARTS ACCESSIBLES – First edition
September 19th, 2024 from 5 to 8pm – MAI Theatre and Café

MAI and Danse-Cité present the first edition of MTL ARTS ACCESSIBLES, a festive evening showcasing Montreal’s accessible cultural programming for the 2024-2025 season!
·
In a convivial 5 to 8 format in the Café-Bar et Théâtre du MAI, come and visit the booths of the various cultural venues in dance, theater, visual arts, performance and music offering accessible shows and activities, while enjoying a warm atmosphere with DJ, performance, entertainment, ticket draw, appetizers and bar service.
·
The event highlights accessible performances and activities for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, blind and partially sighted, mobility-impaired and neurodivergent audiences for the 2024-2025 season.

The evening will be hosted by artists
Hodan Youssouf, Alexandre Vallerand and Myra Hountondji!

Schedule of the evening – September 19th:
· 5pm to 8pm: Booth visit, DJ, catering and bar service.
· 5:30pm to 6pm: Animation with Hodan Youssouf, Alexandre Vallerand and Myra Hountondji
· 6pm: drag performance ! 

ACCESSIBILITY:
· Interpreters: LSQ, ASL and ASL-LSQ interpreters on-site throughout the evening.
· Sighted guides: Sighted guides available to assist people living with a vision loss.
· Available equipment: wheelchair, noise cancelling earmuffs and three seating for all bodies (max. 500 lbs.).
· Three accessible areas: Theatre area for kiosks visit + Café-Bar area + quiet area if required.
